The Spartans start off the SHL season right with a 2-1 win over Carmel Catholic in overtime. Owen Just opened the scoring in the 1st period for the Spartans. The OT game winner came from Josh Genin with 3:04 left to play in OT. Nate Kasdan was in goal with many key saves, ending the night 23 saves on 24 shots.
