GBN Jr. Varsity handed a loss to Glenbrook South 7 - 2 at Northbrook Rink B Scholastic Hockey League Semi-finals on Wednesday. GBN Jr. Varsity tallied up one goal to take the lead in the first period. Both teams scored two goals in the second period but GBN Jr. Varsity held on to the lead for the win. Glenbrook South's fate was sealed. In the final period GBN Jr. Varsity scored four goals padding its lead and winning the game.
GBN Jr. Varsity's Jared Epstein made two goals for GBN Jr. Varsity and also had one assist. Getting started, Epstein put the biscuit over the goal line in the first period. Logan Nein got the assist on this goal. GBN Jr. Varsity was in control from then on. Piling on, Epstein put the biscuit into the net in the second period with assists from Ari Kamensky and Logan Nein. In an excellent performance, Logan Nein got two goals for GBN Jr. Varsity as well as three helpers. GBN Jr. Varsity's Nein Nein put the biscuit into the net. Tyler Mulier assisted on this goal. During the third period, Nein netted a second goal. Tyler Mulier got the assist on this goal. Tyler Mulier, Braeden Syrnyk, and Jonah Gould each tallied one goal for GBN Jr. Varsity.
GBN Jr. Varsity continued their current win streak of nine games and ended the game with a record of 49-5. Glenbrook South ended the game with a record of 0 wins and 4 losses.
