On Saturday, December 18th, GBN Hockey held its annual Alumni Hockey game. The game featured players who graduated as far back as 1968 and as recently as 2010. All were there to honor former Glenbrook North hockey player Phil Fisher, who found out in August he had two brain tumors. Since then, he has undergone radiation and chemotherapy, and one of the tumors is almost gone.

The night was organized by GBN Hockey Board member Dee Washburn and Kim Gore, a fellow GBN alum and friend of Phil’s since second grade. Jeff Dowell, a friend of Kim's who is a vice president for LG, donated a Blue Ray player for the night’s raffle and presented Phil with a hockey stick signed by the Blackhawks.

All proceeds from the raffle, chuck-a-puck and donations that night went to the American Brain Tumor Association. About $2,300 was raised.
