Spartans get Opening night Win

In what has become the annual rites of fall, the GBN Spartans took on the Providence Celtics in the opening High School Game of the Season.

GBN struck fast and often tallying 4, 1st period goals on its way to a 9-0 win over the Celtics.

Forward Owen Just had a 5 point night (2G 3A) and Defenseman Kyle Burke also had a multiple goal night by scoring twice.

Aiden Seigel, Josh Genin, Michael Dimoff, Conor Katsamakis and Lev Vaynberg Movchan each chipped in a goal.

Katsamakis was a plus 7 for the night.

The duo goaltending of Drew Karchmar and Nate Kasdan turned all 20 shots back earning the shut out.

The Spartans will play in the Wheaton West Early Bird tournament this coming weekend.
